Norseman To Kalgoorlie West Australia

23rd August - Norseman to Kalgoorlie - 25th August
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We left Esperance early to drive to Kalgoorlie
Going through the town of Norseman a nice tidy little town.
On the road to Kalgoorlie.
We arrived at the caravan park just after lunch.
So decided to wait till the next day to go see all we can around town.
We went to the gold pit first.
 Yes we had to have a photo taken..
I think every one has had there photo taken too.
When we went over two the viewing  safety cage
We both just said wow.
It is so huge you can not look away it just so big.
We just watched the big trucks going up and down full of the rocks.
They looked so tiny it was hard to see them.
We were so lucky it was a great day and not windy.
We stayed for a while  just looking.
Across the other side on the pit is were the  trucks are.
it is so hard trying to pick them up on the photo.
Hope you can read the photos on all the history.
Well time to move on as more things to see.
We went to the info shop and found a Patrick out side.
So have to have the two Patrick's together.
While waiting at the traffic lights just loved the old pub on the corner.
We went to the Museum were they had a big miners frame
witch was a lift that took you to the top for viewing.
Just a few things to see.
On top of the viewing platform.
A few photo of the town.
looking at some of the dirt that has come from the mine.
With all the different colored layers
At the  Museum we went down to the  gold Vault display.
We were not suppose to take photos in the vault.
Good job we were on our own.
WE went on to the Patrick Hannan Museum.
we had a good walk around looking at things.
But loved the Big Trucks. Took a photo of Pat
I said go up to the top platform Pat but he would not go.
But this was not going to stop me so on go's the hard hat.
ready to clime the stairs.
Well it took a while but was great at the top and god no's
how they drive them.  So big.
Gold miners house.
