Albany Wale Station
Pat and I went to see the Whale Station that is
said to be the only one left in the world.
that is not been destroyed.
The History goes.
That in a poor season back in 1916 they closed.
the Whale Station.
It re-opened again in 1952
They kept killing Whales till 1978.
But due to the amount of Pressure
from the conservationist like my self .it had to close.
So I have decided not to put on any photos that Pat has taken around the
Whale Station as I felt uneasy. seeing the killing place and boilers
.
For me not a happy place. Also hearing mock acting
of the men at work on the whales.
Pat went to have a look on the last Whale ship left in Albany.
I was just happy to sit and wait.
While Pat was on the Boat he took some good photos
looking through the port hole windows.
the next day we went for a ride along the coast line
Some lovely coast line to see. We took so meany photos its hard to pick witch one to use.
We went to see the blow hole but it had to many steps for me .
So Pat took of for the walk,
When he came back he was disappointed and said it is just a slit in the rock.
but saw the rain coming and just made it back to the car in time.
On the way back home we saw this sail ship so went for a look see.
It started to rain again so went back to the van . As we were leaving the next day
so we started to get the van ready for travailing.
We stayed at a free camp on the way to Esperance as it was a big run
so stayed at a place called Ravensthorp. The free camp soon filled up.
and was a very cold night.
We arrived at Esperance and went shopping first.
So next day we took of again to see the coast line.
With a few good look out places.
It was a lovely day with some nice sunshine as it is getting colder now.
The water is so blue and clear.
Pat went to the top of this look out witch had a lot of steps.
We both sat for a while hopping to see some Whales but no luck.
After taken a few photos we found some more wild flowers
on the way back to the van.
Next day was a bit windy but took of to see a place called.
Cape la Grand about an 1 hour drive from the van park.
This rock is called Freshman's cap
You can clime it but Pat said not to. Thank you .
By the time we got to the beach the wind had picked up and
some rain clouds coming in. we were getting blow away.
I took my photos and sat back in the car.
We went around to another part of a cove beach
But the wind was so strong
gave up trying to hold my hair down but we had a laugh.
Wont tell you what Pat said.
They have a caravan park here and you could see the vans rocking with the wind.
It soon began to rain so once again so drove back to the van.
Were I went to do some washing and then used the dryer. all done in 2 hours.
Well a bit more added to the Map
We I am going to say the same as befor
lots of love to all our family and friends and stay safe.
