20th June 2015

20th June 2015

We all had good fun on Pat’s B-day as Adam Christen and the grandchildren came over with the surprise of bringing there tent with then and will be staying the night
just across the pathway from us.
 So Pat Adam started to put the tent up.  Caitlin and Lachlan trying to help at first
 then gave up as playing was more important .
But they got there after the tent was finished.
We had a lovely  BBQ  after I was in charge of the fly-swat.
 .

The next day we all went out for a ride with Adam and Christine’s friend’s
 witch was a very nice day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adam’s B-day . We spent the day with him at his home .
The children were busy playing there games on the computer .
So we ordered a pizza to save Christine cooking witch we all enjoyed.
We had to leave about 4 pm to do a last bite of shopping the get the van ready for the next day.
Saying goodbye  was sad but we have had a great time altogether.
  We left Townsville on Tuesday 23rd June
To start making our way up the coast we were going to stop at a place called
Paronella Park near Cairns
But when we got there it was not as we were told fist they had a very busy day.
Then wanted to charge us $38. Dollars each for entry and to park in a field with
 no Water -  power -  toilets- and very muddy as it had been raining.
I will always have a go at any thing .
 But trying to walk with my walker in mud then when you come back to the van
and trying to clean of  the mud of .No way
So we both decided to give it a miss.
 After having lunch we carried on to Cairns were we are now for a few days
in a  Caravan park  about 5 k’s south of Cairns  and is a lovely park
Once all set up we went for a ride into Cairns .and found the main water front with a big swimming pool and lovely walk way but  still very overcast.
 They have made a pool for the people to use as there is only mud flats and no sandy beaches
Plus the odd Crocodile
 The very large pool go’s right up to the  main shopping area
 But nice walk ways along the water front
We walk around to the marina to have a look at all the lovely boats
