19th July to 26th July Barn Hill

19th July Leaving Broome to 26th July at Port Hedland

After Leaving Broome.
We made our way to Barn Hill.

It is a Caravan site about 40 mins in on very red dusty road.
Ronnie is opening the gate for our two vans.

When we got there we had to go find a spot to park.

We fond one but could not get one very close to Ronnie and Arnold s Van.
But we still just walk back and forth to each other.

The look out from the front view you could see some of the sea witch looked great.
But the side view.  From the van was a bit different.
As you can see the shower Toilet bloke.

All open at the top so plenty of sunshine on you in the shower.
As for the loo. Well no need to have a fan or air vents.

The hot water is a lot of black pipes cured up in the full sun to get hot.
So best time for a shower is 3.pm in the afternoon.

The view from the top of the cliff is great.

Pat went for a walk and loved the small flowers growing along the path way.

As I could not walk down to the beach.  The pathway was
to steep and no room for my walker to go.

So Pat was told that their are steps down to the beach.
So we went to see.

Well I had a go at slowly walking down the steps.
 With Pats help and made my way to the sea to have a leased one paddle.
But I did it.
 I was standing there Buggered but happy.

But it took me longer to go up the steps. But I was so happy it sit at the top and rest.

 The Sunday befor we were due to leave Bar Hill.
We went down the hill to have a 3 course dinner at the lower camp were they have the store.
you pay $18. dollars each

They gave us a soup first then a roast beef dinner
followed by fruit with ice cream.
witch we all enjoyed.

Later in the evening they had an Aboriginal band witch was very good.
 Rose was missing for a while.
But we all found out what she was up to.
 As the band started to singing  Happy Birthday  for Ronnie

With this Rose walk out with a cake. To give  her sister.
Ronnie was so surprised.

We all got together on Ronnie's Birthday 2 days later.
With a drink and goodies and had a good old talk.

We have left Bar Hill and at a free camp site.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our camp site at De Grey camp near Port Hedland.
This elderly man named John came and had a nice talk with us.
 He is showing Ronnie a photo of his wife that has been gone a while so just travails on his own.
Heading to Port Hedland.
This part of my Blog is sad for us. As if you look at the Map just down from Port Hedland.
 The highway divides in to two.
 Ronnie and Arnold have taken the inland rout as there are parts of this they wish to see gain.
As Pat and my self have decided to carry on down the coast road.
As we wish to see this part of Western Australia.
So I have put in a few photos of our time together and to say
Thank you Ronnie and Arnold
 for showing us some great places .With lots of fun and some good laughs.
Good by for now till next Blog.
Take care Love to all our friends.
With big hugs and xxxx for our Riley family's .
15th July to the 19th July Our Stay in Broome
15th July to the 19th July Our Stay in Broome
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I will start of with a map of Broome as it is not a very big place.
They say the population of Broome is normally about 15.-20.000 thousand people.
But in the tourist time it grows to 45 - 50.000 thousand people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pat and I went to see the old Pearling Luggers.
They only had one. the other one is being  restored.
This is as close to a shark and Croc  I wish to be near.
You can stick your head in the divers helmet to have a photo taken .
 But Pat said no way thanks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In the main part of the town their are three Bronze Chines Men Statues.
They represent the founding of the pearling Industry of Broome.

This is a bronze cast of the Divers that worked very hard under water
  taking care of the Cultured  Pearls. Witch so many died.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Some photos of around the town that is called Chinatown.
We found that all the shops are built of corrugated Ion and steel frames.
Even all the new homes are being built the same way.
It is because of all the Termites up here and all through the Kimberly airier.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the town Theater and a Museum so we all went in to have a look.
It was better than we thought.
Loved seeing all the old time Stars.

Yes it is an out door theater with deck chairs.

They still show movies here all the time.

Back in the Van for a while sorting what to go see next.

Well we all went to a place called.
Light House - Gantheaume Point Broome.

I walk as far as I could. Then sat to wait for the all to come back

Hey

Still waiting.

Still waiting and guess what they all came back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next was a very good time as we all went to watch Rose ( Rose is Ronnie's sister)
take her camel rideon Cable Beach.
They have made a small drive way to drive onto a special part of the beach
for cars to go onto so as to watch the camel rides. And also take sun set photos
Rose is so enjoying her ride she is the last one on the end.
Her camels name is Black jack and is a new on to the team.
The ride takes about 40 minutes so the ride back has the Sun set to make the photo's
even more great.
Ronnie decided  to go have some fun doing a few movement of something.
They turned out so good could not put all of them on as Pat took them in quick time.
All waiting for Rose to come back to us and tell us of all her experience
of Camel ridding.
These to photo's Pat has taken as a plain was coming in to land at the air port not far away.
.But the lights from the plain shone down to make a lovely show on the sand.
They looked like space beings coming down.was great fun.
