Wednesday 9th April 2014 From Home To Bribie Island QLD 11th.April

Wednesday 9th April 2014 left Home
   Arrived at Bribie Island QLD 11th. April

 We left home 7.30.am and had a good run through Sydney. 

Our first night we stayed at Kempsey show grounds a camp site which was very nice.



This is were I say sorry to my family and friends for the delay as my computer broke down.
  So have not been ably to send any emails or info. I have  to wait till I reach Townsville for Christine’s computer technician to have a look see .

The next day we stayed over night at Mullumbimby Caravan park. Next day being Friday 11th April we reached Bribie Island in Queensland and will be staying here in a caravan park till the Monday 14th April. So as we can spend time with our son Bradley and Alison.
We will be doing a lot of talking.

By Sunday afternoon it started to rain this was part of the cyclone that is
  coming down from the top end.  It did not stop raining at all. even the morning of Monday the 14th  when we were packing to leave it was Raining heavy but we set of again by 7.30am and headed to a camp site by the side of the river at Calliope.

 The rain has stopped and being warm it was  drying out fast.



We stopped at Gin Gin for lunch then on we go to try to get to 

  Calliope to stay at this free camp.
 We  arrived at 3.20.pm  and stayed the night.

Tomorrow being the 15th April we arrived at Bowen 3.50.pm 

Were we will stay the night at the Palms caravan park.

My first job was to help rescue a Green Tree Frog from the Toilet pan.
As the owner had just taken over the park. She was a bit nerves  at touching the frog
But as the Disabled toilets had not been used for a while ( so told )
I had no problem in getting him out and putting him out site near a tree.
    

Next day 16th April we will only have a short drive to Townsville. 

So by leaving at 7.30am we arrived at Townsville by 10.30am. 

Were we will be staying at a caravan park until Tuesday the 22nd April.
We had a good spot right under the shade of a big tree.
It was not long befor the family came over to see us . Must say that made my day.
Will be doing some more Blog later as to busy with our Grandchildren .

8th April getting ready to leave the next morning.

Our van is ready and all packed.

  

Rick is helping Pat to hook up. 

Australia here we come.

But we will be calling in to see our Family,s in Queensland first ( That I will really enjoy )

As we travel around we hope to go see places like the

Bungle Bungles -Darwin - Broom  _ Perth - 

we also would like to go see our old landing place in Freemantle.

Getting ready for our Big trip.

Saturday    8/3/2014

 Last Thursday the sun was shining.  So Pat decided it was  time to take the cover of the van. 

It wont take to long said Pat. Just undoing the straps and
   the cover will just slides of.  Then we can fold the cover up.
  

Pat sweep-ed  of the spiders that had made there,home there first.  

 Now Rick and I can fold up the cover and put it in the bag, 

 But just as they finished  it started to rain heavy.  

So we were very lucky it was all done in time. 

But it came done so fast it flooded the garage (oh well )

That's the life of Riley.

Going around Australia 2014

Tuesday -4 - 3 - 2014

Hi To all our family and friends. 

Well it wont be long befor we take of with the caravan again.
But this time we will be going up to Queensland first to see our family's, first.
Then  Morayfield to Bradley and Alison  then on to Townsville.
To Adam Christine and our grandchildren Caitlin and Lachlan.  

After this will be meeting up with our cousin Arnold and Ronnie at charters Towers.

As to have a go at going around Australia. 

 We have a few weeks yet but it takes me longer to get things done these days.  

like taking things out the van then go and put them back in. 

But I am trying to keep the hubby busy here he is cleaning the car roof rack.

Hi Family & Friends we are Home on the 17-4-12

So now we have the unpacking to do

We had a good run from Bribie Island on the 17-4-12

 till after Coffs Harbour

that is when it started to rain.

That night we pulled into a park at Port Macqurie for the Night

   

 as it was Raining so heavy and did not stop all night so not much sleep   

Next day it kept on raining  till the other side of Sydney when it finely started to clear.

by the time we got to Dapto on the south coast n.s.w  it was looking better  

still cloudy at Berry an old  Small Country Town we go through

But we arrived Home about 45 minutes after this 

Witch I have always said to Pat thank you for driving us home safe

So sorry we did not take you on our big trip 

But lets hope next time we will make it

    Hi Friends and Family  it is time to leave Bribie Island tomorrow Monday the 16th April
and start heading home
        as we have been staying here to spend a bite more time with Bradley and Alison.
  It has been a mixed weather days here sunshine and rain

Pat and I went for a ride around Bribie Island and found some lovey bush tracks 

that were so green after all the rain this one lead to a beach 

 

We Have been helping Bradley fix his Toyota Ute to get it back on the Road again.

Pat is standing by just watching ( That's right Son)

 Bradley and Alison  are both very busy at moment they are  move House

 so lots of packing  to do
So by for now till we get home.

even tho it was not as we wanted.  we were both glad to be with our Family for a while

Well it is our last Day in Townsville to day as we

 Leave tomorrow the heading back down south.

 We have had 3 weeks here and a lovely time. 

So we spent our last Day Being the 6th April with our Family 

and had great fun watching Caitlin hunt for Easter eggs

Witch Christine had hidden  around the garden for her to find.

Yesterday Pat and my self went for a ride to the Townsville Strand on the sea front 

this part of a park has  tiled sea creatures

 for the Children to see and play with

Was very nice walking along 

But such a shame to see one swimming in the sea 

but they have put in beautiful pools for people to swim
