Townsville 26th March 

We are still here in the Caravan park at Townsville enjoying being with Adam Christine Caitlin 

and  Baby Grandson Lachlan Cooper born on the 17th March St Patrick's Day

Christine's Parents are are next to us in the Park so when Adam and Christine come to the C-Park Plenty of baby sitters to watch our Grandchildren .

The weather is hot with a few showers of Rain now and again. But very Humid .

  Hi to all our friends and family so far the rain has stopped for a while but they are saying   there is more to come not just here in Townsville but further on up the top end of Australia 

 Near Darwin and all around that way.

They say it has broken up a lot of the roads we were going to travail on.

 With this Pat and I have decided not to go ahead with the trip.
 as we would only be stuck in some places

 or have to turn back with detours so we are staying here a bit longer in Townsville .

Then head back home stopping to see Bradley and Alison  again for a few days.

But we will try again next year all being well.

 Yes we are disappointed but best to save the money we saved for this trip till next time.

so we hope you will come back to follow us again next time.

 I will continue putting  in till we reach home

Townsville 

After arriving in Townsville on the 16th March  at 6.30 pm.  

and still  raining so hard we were so glad just to stop 

But the  next Day we were off to the Hospital to see Christine, as we were going to help look after our

 Grand Daughter Caitlin. while Adam would be going to Theater with Christine.

Baby Lachlan Cooper was born at 1.48pm on the 17th March St Patrick's Day

 Mum Dad and Baby are fine

To Day 18th  and still Raining. Christine and Baby went home from Hospital

HEADING TO TOWNSVILLE 15th March 

We left Bribie Island qld at 9.am on the 15th March.
After saying Good by to Bradley. The night be for.

 Alison had be up all night working so was sleeping when we left. 

 We did not want to wake her but said our good by's later on by Phone. 

We  had a good run all day we stopped at a Free Camp called Cellope  about  4.30pm. 

 Right a long side the River it was a lovely spot.

Next Morning we Left  Cellope  at 7. 50 am  sun shining .

 till lunch time and then it started to rain .  About 1. 30 pm we had a message from Adam to say the Hospital wants Christine in now.
 As from last scan. show's baby as not getting enough blood through cord  .
We had just gone through Rockhamtom.

  After a while of traveling  Pat and I decided at about 2 pm 

 we would try to make it there.  As we had about 3 Hour's from Townsville then. 

  By now the rain was coming down very heavy in parts we had to slow down a lot.

 With all the road works going on it was very slow but  any way we arrived at the Caravan park in Townsville at 6. 30pm.  Just getting dark and of course raining heavy of and on

 still just finished what we could for the night and  getting in the van. 

 When we could hear a little voice calling out Hello Nannie  Hello Nannie 

over and over.  That made it all worth while .

 Adam had just left the Hospital  .So called in on the way home. So as we could see our Caitlin. 

 and saying  Christine has to stay in Hospital.  

we gave Caitlin  the dear Dora gift from Auntie Alison she loved it .

 We will let you all now the next bit of new's later by for now Maureen & Pat 

To Day is the 14th of March 

We are still here at Bribie Island qld. we have  been going to Brad and Alison's 

every day when they come home from work. 

That way we can spend some time with them.

 as we will be Taking off tomorrow for Townsville 

It has been raining hard all night and they say there is more to come 

just hope it clears while driving tomorrow

To day Bradley and Alison came down to spend the day with us.  

so we went fishing just across the road from the Caravan park.

 we had the shade of the tree and had a lovely time 

Brad nearly caught a mud crab but Alison caught a big Flat head .she was so existed.

and as for me well just look at the Photo.

 and yes I did send him back but was good fun.

Poor Pat never caught anything  

oh well next time .by for now. 

Queensland Bribe Island

Hi we are Staying in a Caravan Park on Bribe Island in Queensland 

witch is on the Sunshine Coast. we are here for a week 

As our son Bradley lives not far from here with Alison.

this gives us time to spend  with then both.

 be for we move on.to the next stop  in Townsville.

That will be next Thursday 15 th. all for now Maureen & Pat      

We left Home on the 7 March as Planed at 7.50 am and had a good run with a few showers on the way .
But the n.s.w roads are terrible. we finished up at Coffs Harbour Caravan Park for the night.

Hi just putting in a small Note to say we only have 3 Days to go 

be for we start our dream trip. 

   Hopping the rain will stop . But first we will be calling in to see our Family's  

and of course will be seeing our Granddaughter and a new baby Grandchild

 so looking forward to that.
